[RL with Lancer and Waver - drinking~]
[There was really no reason to worry about having another Servant in his home for drinks, not when it was Honorable Lancer of Honor and Politeness. He'd never attack someone off the battlefield, and particularly not when he had been invited over for drinks. (He might not invite him to a wedding, but that was just learning from someone else's experience.)
This was why Rider was cracking open several cases of beer and waiting for Lancer's worldhop to hurry up and arrive.]

Sorry if I kept you waiting long. [Yeah, thanks for the thought but you can keep your wedding invites if it's all the same to you, good sir.]

[Not really a palace, this house. But it was something.]
no subject
Thanks, I appreciate it. Good to see you under less pressing circumstances, for that matter.

[Swig of beer. Gotta drink with 'em all.]

[NOBODY OUT-DRINKS THE IRISH]
Did you warn your Master, by the way? I can't help but think seeing an enemy Servant might be a terrible shock for him.

[Incoming Waver in three, two...]
1/idk
Hey, Rider, have you seen--
[Full stop.]

done
[No offense, Lancer, he's sure you're a nice person and all, but THERE'S A SERVANT IN HIS HOUSE WHAT IS THIS RIDER WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU]

As for your question: Drinking. I would have thought that was obvious for someone as clever as you.
no subject
[He doesn't even care. You should expect this.]
no subject
You-- you actually-- why would you--!
Do you have absolutely no concept of secrecy, or do you do this deliberately to me?!
no subject
[He stood up, giving Waver a slight but respectful bow.]
I have no intention of bringing hostilities here. I simply could not turn down an offer from the King of Conquerors. I am under no orders from my Master to attack anyone at the moment, nor am I under orders to disclose your location. I have no intention of allowing Kayneth-dono to realize I know your location, and so I think it's acceptable to simply enjoy a moment's peace.
Besides, this is fairly ahead of my point in time, so attacking you here would serve no purpose.
[Lancer smiled, extending his hand.]
So it's safe to call this a truce, such as it is. Acceptable?

[That was for you, Rider, even if you probably didn't feel it.]
[As for you, Lancer, well. He's not entirely sure he ought to be trusting you, but nothing seriously bad could happen to him if Rider was around, right?]
[So a tentative handshake for you.] You seem reasonable enough... I suppose so.
no subject
I appreciate it. Forgive me, it wasn't my intention to startle you.

[
UNLIKE SOME MACEDONIAN GINGERS WHO WON'T BE NAMED]...I can stop working for a little while, I guess. I'll make myself some tea.
no subject
[Except Kayneth.]
[But nobody loves Kayneth, so it works out.]

[He'll just go and start making that tea now.]

There's nothing wrong with disliking alcohol, anyway. The stuff tastes vile and smells worse.

[Where you bought him a bunch of drinks and he took one sip and turned all of them down?]
It doesn't matter what kind it is, I simply don't like it. [He comes back out with a cup of tea.]

The last time we had much of a selection was... hm, the ball the community held.
no subject
I don't know much about alcohol, but it seemed like that party had a large selection. You certainly made that bartender make a lot of drinks.
Why does it bother both of you so much, anyway?
no subject
[Honest confusion here, Waver.]
I suppose times change, but really. I'd expected that as a constant of sorts.
no subject
[Sad face. Sad.]
no subject
Besides, people would be better off if they didn't drink something that made them act even more like idiots than they already did.
no subject
I don't know about that, I think the two of us got along well enough in our respective eras.
no subject
[Yeah, that was awkward the morning after. Most people just had ill-advised sex.]

[Nope, he was sober for all the stupid shit he did.]

[Waver took the drink somewhat hesitantly and took an even more hesitant sip.]
[His nose wrinkled.] Ugh. That's awful.
